Had an aftermarket through flow/free flow rear silencer or whatever they're called. Nice s/steel stealth jobbie. After 6 months I was sick and tired of it, truth be told after driving half a mile in the car I was sick of it. Was really. really loud.
When the fitter drove my car around the...
gawd knows, it was there for at least 25 mins. He came back and protested to the traffic warden who'd fined him 30 notes and sent for a tow truck. Was in St. Helens today. I thought it was just typical St Helener madness, but no he was from my neck of the woods, L'pool. A Ginger Winger! What did...
Having ripped off my noisy as hell rear silencer and fitted a quiet as a mouse CES silencer, I can now hear lots of new noises. JOY!
One noie is a slight whine from the synchro', should I be worried at 46k?
172 middle section is £200 and the rear silencer is £200 too. made of biscuit tin reinforced mr kipling cake tins. i thought the 182 was well liked for it's design??? Although the quality is probably shiiite

Len, how did you get all that data from his reg?
I think he had tints all round, I passed him but couldn't get a shot of the front. As he passed in a filter...
i run a windows mobile smartphone with co-pilot, and a 1.5yr old bluetooth gps receiver. works fine in my 172 with silly screen. Has fooked up twice, both in Frodsham at similar times of day in a year and a half's use. I use it all the time for work too.
