For some reason my post is first and it aint my thread?!
Anyway, Im afraid I cant say either way as I drive a mere 1.2 and would gladly have either.
;)
Ive got a 1.2 ~ Id agree with edde, unless shes doing really short trips in and around town, go for the dci.
Theres free insurance I think on the dci 100 as well.
Whats worse is the fact that when you wash your windscreen using the squirters you get 2 wipes from the wipers and then 10secs later you get another wipe that completely mucks it all back up again!
Anyone know what they are like regarding ICE?
Ive got the alloys covered, was thinkin about upgrading the HU and adding a Sub/Amp.
Will they cover this with no extra cost? Am I right in thinkin most insurers cover £1k of ice straight off the bat?
99.7 - yes.
106.4 - No.
103.0 - No.
Basically any frequency that ends in .1 / .3 / .5 / .7 / .9 I can pick up perfectly.
I can pick up Q103 but only at 102.9 so the quality aint great.
I only listen to radio1 so it suits me fine.
;)
Well itll probably mean that the radio will tune to odd frequencies instead of even ones.
Like you couldnt pick up 97.4 only 97.3 or 97.5.
At least thats the only difference in my HU, and its an import.
I think itll look good, 17s normally do...but often at the expense of performance.
I think the general consensus is that a car such as the Williams should be left standard or only really subtle mods.
But fair play to you mate, get some pics up when youve got em on.
I agree, having the power of a 182 and not using it kind of defeats the purpose of going for such a powerful car in the first place doesnt it?
I mean if thats the case, you might as well get a cheaper 1.2/1.4/1.6 etc.
Thats my theory anyway.
Age isnt everything tho mate.
Its years of driving experience that counts, knowing your own limits and dealing with things that they dont teach you in driving lessons...I was always told that the real learning happens after you pass your test...and would agree.
You could ignore the above...
I looked into it mate, and the standard HU is a bit poo for adding any extras like a Aux-In cable (meaning you could connect an mp3 player using a stereo jack).
The only other way is using an FM transmitter thingy that you can get from Ebay for about £20. The quality isnt exactly CD, bout the...
You wont get anywhere just asking for discount!
You could play insurers off of eachother tho, saying youve got quotes of £xxx from xxx, but if you can match that (or get close) then Ill sign up now.
Be realistic tho if youre makin it up. ;)
I just rang em and theyve been added to me policy for no extra £.
I asked about lowering and that wont add anything extra either ~ so thats next on the list of to dos.
Thanks for the advice. ;)
Ive got smoked side repeaters on me Clio.
Do I need to inform my insurance company ~ Tesco?
It seems daft but I wanna be sure, a few of my mates have had problems with payouts because of non-declared modifications
