Back on topic: Most people just buy a set of Eibachs or Avos and whack em on! K-Tec Racing do a coilover kit if you want to spend a bit more.

Id go that little bit further and get a 1.6 16v if you can afford it. A mate of mine has one and its a really good car for the money. 110bhp is going to seem a lot faster than the 1.2. The jump to a 172 puts you in a totally different league when it comes to cost of ownership - believe me!

Oh and by the way theres no torsion bar at the rear - its springs all round.

1. 40+mm if you are staying with the 16" wheels. Dont go any lower than 30mm if youre planning on fitting 17s. 2. Dont know anyone whos done this on a 172 3. No dots - quite a few have had them tinted and you can get a discount if youre a member of this club I believe. And welcome!

£150 fitted! Wow! Can someone do a how to guide please! Actually that wouldnt be a big problem - I have a local garage thatll fit things like this for a reasonable cost. £70 sounds fine. Are you going to get yours done and report results back?

If you go to one of the Driving Academy days (a few of us did one earlier this year) youll be taught exactly how to use the ABS. Really opened my eyes to what it can do!

Cos the cars were loud some of em couldnt participate (they have been offered their money back). Cos there was a public row they got banned!
