I had my washer bottle replaced on Monday this week - they are known to fail - youre not the first. As for attempting to void your warranty thats just crazy. Mine is lowered, Magnex exhaust etc and the dealer has no problem with it at all. Did you buy the car from this dealer? If so I suggest...
Sympathy m8. The wheels on the Mk2 are much easier to clean the the OZs, but its still a pain. I dont think theres much you can do except scrub, scrub, scrub

Yeah wheels must be worth a lot more - inertia and all that. Lets start at 100bhp per kilo - makes the Superleggs seem a little less expensive! My car is a lot slower now Ive got a heavy, non-leaking washer bottle :(
Abbs - there are a few panel filters appearing now. Pipercross do one (the foam / oil type). They really are dead easy to fit - just the 6 torx screws that hold the top of the airbox on. Wont affect the noise, and youre unlikely to notice any performance gains, but every little counts!
OK, So lets get technical (LOL). Average 172 weighs about 1000kg and has about 150 bhp ATW. So if we could reduce the weight by 500kg wed effectively have double the power. So 500kg=150bhp extra, therefore 50kg=15bhp.
So John your automotive surgery should have made rather more difference...
Agree with Neil. Too much democracy can hold things up to the point where things stall. Weve all had our 2p worth so make a decision on our behalf. Sounds like we need a phase 1 and phase 2 design, then let justmatz take some of the risk. If they make a good job of them theyll sell, sell sell.
