Main advantage id the brake dust will find it harder to bond, and meaning only soap and water will be needed to clean it rather than more harmful chemicals which may harm the paintwork on them.

I tend to use the Autoglym Leather Cleaner or a weak mixture of Megs APC to clean and then Einszett Leather Care.
I have tried the Autogylm Black Dye but not any light coloured ones.

It sounds like the metal has become etched. I had polished lips on my old 309 GTi wheels and for some reason this happened to just one of them. My metal polisher said it was down to bad casting, they would need to machine polished again to remove it.

Not used the Samuri but I thought it was just re-badged Onyx which is super soft.
My Onyx, Saphir and BOS are all soft, the Mystery is rock solid though.
