Agreed but ideally the thinner you can get it the better. CMW is one of the sticker thicker ones and does not spread as easily or thinnly as some of them.
Are they actual chrome or do they have some clearcoat on them ?
Either way as long as you only use a mild abrasive to polish them you will be fine. Autoglym Super Resin and Extra Gloss and then top with a cleaner free wheel sealant like Poorboys or Swissvax Wheel Sealants.
If you have got tine mail order some http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing/polish/car-lack-68-hand-polish-kit/prod_359.html
If not try Meguiars Scratch or AG Paint Renovater, both for sale in Halfords, go very careful with the later!
Not bothered with the Prime as I have loads of Carlack 68 and Klasse AIO. But the Strong version is meant to be good.
I have both the JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Glos and JEFFS Werkstatt Carnauba Glos QD's but neither are that special. Not bothered with anything else.
I find the Poorboys SSR range work well, the Menzerna takes it up another level.
As for Pads, which ever brand you go for you will need the Cutting, Polishing and Finishing pads.
I still have pretty much stuck to the same pads since having my DA, as some pads seem to work better by it, others...
Not really just so much easier to use. Imagine EGP in a spray form, wipe on and wipe of like a quick detail spray, no cure times or waiting between layers. I can do 3 layers of it in the time it takes to apply and remove one of EGP...
Updated to the new itunes and updated the firmware on the touch earlier. Won't be buying the £12.99 apps as I will wait till I can jailbreak my phone to 1.1.3 and get them on there.
You will not really notice the individual differences so much on Silver Paint like you will notice on dark colours.
On my silver car I use AG SRP and Jeffs Acrylic Jett Sealant topped with either:
P21s
Zymol Titanium
Meguiars #16
Cant see any difference in looks but the later 2 provide much...
Daily drive does 1 -2 K a month at least.
As said in my post, pressure wash first, degrease and then rinse again. Then use the mitt and shampoo as normal on them.
Jet wash then Autoglym Engine and Machine Cleaner or Meguiars Super Degreaser, agitate, allow to dwell for a while and jet wash again.
Re-apply the degreasers and use a sponge or mitt to get the stubborn bits. AG Tar Remover may be handy for trouble spots.
