Both my Onyx and Saphir are both very soft, so you should be ok with the Onyx. I warm the harder waxes up by rubbing my fingers round the top of the pot till it turns to liquid and then use the foam hand pad. The age should not be an issue, just work it a tad longer to warm it before...
The harder Swissvax's really need warming well at this time of year to allow them to spread easily. Try using a decent MF to remove the wax - after going round the car leave it for a few hours like they say before buffing again will a quick detail spray, or if your pushed for time wipe each...
As Matt says, the Purple Haze produced a better gloss and Depth on Black for me vs 50/50 in some direct testing. Would be interested to see if the Orange Crush does the same reds and oranges as I am getting some for a mate.
He said they make a slight difference. Worth looking on DW for a...
The idea of the Drying towels is to reduce the chance of scratching from a chamois.
I must admit I use the Ag Synthetic Chamois on the 306, and then get the streaky bits with normal MF'S while I QD.
Black Wow looks very good initally so may be worth a look, does not last any longer than the AG though is is pretty expensive for wheel arch dressing!
On the majority of cars I do I just spray AG Super Sheen under there after washing.
You will need them! If I had known before I would not have killed a brand new pad using it.
Liked it, but the heavy colour and purple fingers where a big downside and off putting using it next to Onyx.
In all fairness as Matt replied on my thread, the sample pots have a problem re. the cooling that made the wax too hard to use. Only reason I am going to get the Double Waxes as I quite liked the Purple Haze, but hated the colour magicness to it - wrecked ok, stained a foam hand pad - hoping the...
The point of them as I understand is that they are used as a two step process - Hard then Soft - hence being sold as that.
If the Hard wax then the Soft is your thing - Megs 16 topped with Onyx would be my recommendation.
Or just get one of the other Dodo hardwaxes ?
I use AG Bumper Care on the plastic arch liners actually beads water!
Not sure of many products that will mask the sanding marks you have made - just buy new ones ;)
