Sounds awesome when booting it. A bit boomy on the motorway, between about 65 and 75 mph, but otherwise its perfect. Fits great, no rattles or anything
lol @ the people getting mardy about it. Was only asking for peoples opinions cos theres a new age of hot hatches now that focus a lot on power and power delivery. Just wanted to know if you thought that would phase out the older NA hot hatches such as the 1*2s VTS' etc.
yeah definitely, if I wanted a 300bhp car I would get an AWD jap turbo. Its similar to the scenario of the german exec saloons, they are now pushing ridiculous bhp figures in a bid to out power one another.
I think it's the remapping too though. the new cupra r will pump out 300 bhp post remap. Thats mad. you'd be lucky to get about 5 bhp off an NA car such as a 1*2
Generally things are more popular as the do look better in the majority of peoples opinions. You could put 18" amir khans on your clio if you want but expect 99% of people to say it looks sh*t. Turinis look good and they are practical (lightweight, good size etc), the splitter beefs up the front...
It's becoming more and more apparent that for a car to be classed as a hot hatch these days it needs to be 220 bhp + and turbo charged and easily tunable. For me, the likes of the 1*2s, 206 GTis, saxo VTS etc, aren't hot hatches anymore. It's a shame. I'm going to write to Renault and request a...
looks toight. But who the f**k uses 7 grand wax on a clio. sort your life out mate. I would only use that if I had a supercar or maybe a classic vintage car worth more than my house.
cheers pal. I'm not sure about the meet yet. I'll have to see nearer friday. Will be good to meet some peeps if I do though :) take it you'll be going??
I love the R26. parked next to one at Renault last week and it's a complete beast compared to my measily 172. Pics are good but don't do the car justice. Might look into one next year, hoping they are a little cheaper
lol not really considering coilovers are about 600-700 quid and another 200 for getting them set up properly. ;)
Cheers to ben for fitting the shocks today. Can't wait to see your 172 track car when it's finished!! Gonna be a monster. Let me know about the Wilwoods next week :approve:
