Nice one CB! Im def going to have a go at this next time. How much can I expect to pay for a filter removal tool - and did you use any ramps etc to get under the car?

Is it really worth spending money on this? The brakes are one of the better points of a 172. OK they fade when they get really hot on a trackday, but I wouldnt have thought this would be a big enough issue to warrant spending all that wonga replacing them?

Just been out for a drive in this stripped-out mobile megaphone! Its LOUD, but man it SHIFTS! :D For anyone thinking of the zorst / filter / chip route dont hesitate - the difference is really noticable.

If its really hot (normal during running in) itll wobble about a lot. Fear not - perfectly normal. Wait until its run in.

DRAGON DENTS! LOL CB I thought youd invented that for a minute. I remember Crumlin from when I was a kid. There was a huge viaduct right across the valley. I think it was dismantled in the 70s. Free tourist information, public service etc etc... OK Ill be off then.

That sounds like the ABS working. It wont stop the car in a big hurry but its better than skidding and it will let you steer away from the obstacle.
