A pal of mine has a 1.6 Dynamique+ (2001 model). Its a flyer! Id have no hesitation in getting one - theyre great value for money (less than 10 grand new), come with all the kit and go really well. Remember were talking about less than 10k on the road - its brilliant value!
Once youre happy that nothings going to fall off (e.g. the wheels LOL) then you may as well give it the full treatment. Presumably you bought it for the track anyway, so its not like its going to have an easy life!
Try http://www.demon-tweeks.co.ukhttp://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk - they are a real shop and they ship worldwide. Their site doesnt show all their stuff though, so youll probably need to give em a call. They are showing a Scorpion cat-back with 3.5 inch tailpipe for £212.

LOL! If you think Im spending next summer watching a bad-ass silver 172 disappear into the distance every time we go to a track or a strip youre sadly mistaken!! The only thing that might stop me is insolvency...
LOL @ Anders. My car has an autopilot for these situations. Trouble is, if you forget to turn it off the next morning, when youre half way to work the car turns around and takes you home again..

True. The Megane coupe is a performance car though. We have the 1.6 16v engine in our cabriolet and its plenty. I always thought a Megane coupe with a 172 engine would be a nice motor.
Strange how the 2.0 litre 16v engines are getting less powerful. The first was the 150bhp Williams engine, next there was 140bhp IDE engine (as in the current cars), now we get 136bhp. Is this progress??

Mine (UK supplied) has a bit of paper (computer printout) glued inside the front cover. It states the chassis number, radio code, build date etc. Thats the only thing that specifically relates to my car. Its a generic Renault book - covers all models.
You should try a few track days m8 - Im always amazed that the whole car doesnt just fall to bits as soon as I get back to the pits! Mis-treating my car makes me a lot more forgiving of the odd rattle here and there. Hope you get a result and end-up enjoying your car though.
It would be interesting to see how all this translates to speed on the track. A high-speed course like Donington would be ideal... you listening John???;)
