The higher the octane, the less prone to detonation (explosions) it is, as it is more stable. The reason (I think) Renault recommend this, is because it's a very high compression ratio engine .. ~11.8:1 ? Odd that you've had problems with this but if other people are experiencing it too...

Get it back on the road ! Failing that .. break it, and I'll have the wheels off you + the rear bumper (presuming it's ok) !!

Do it for windows. OS X can deal with windows formatting with no issues. Windows will not even see your OS X formatted HDD and will want to format it. :cool:

Couple of friends have bought them since I've had mine (Hi Darren85 !), and another guy from work was about to by one, but then decided that a 52 plate Cooper S (at 3x the price of a Clio) would be a better idea as the Renault would fall apart. His Mini has had way more issues than my Clio ...

I would, but TBH the 10 hours of double time is worth it, as I do fook all :cool: Plus it'd mean swapping with some miserable bint at work and then I'd have to work another weekend, meaning 3 weeks in without a day off. I can barely bring myself to work on a regular week, let alone a week that...
