Daniel speaks sense. What ever you do dont give it back to pay your loan or as said it will be marked against you.
Its just a bit of expensive lesson to learn.
you will have to sign up and there is a guide in the guide section. Worth a £10 imo as it could save you alot of £££'s as it makes you aware of common problems etc
for 3.5kish for a mk2 ph2 172 you are looking 60k upwards milage wise in good condition.
mk2 ph1 172 you could get a very nice one for that sort of cash I would think
If a 182 is advertised for 3k i would approach with caution and do some background research on it i.e write off etc
Remember...
100k miles and lets say average from them 2 runs you have 160 bhp and the graph looks very good too. I would be over the moon with that as I have never heard of a standard 172 getting 172 bhp unless you go on optimistic ones.

Hope this helps m8, doesn't seem to much from renault themselves imo unlike there normal dick turpin acts
Cheaper to buy a new seat off ebay, or one of the traders than pay that labour charge. My driver one has done the same and I cann't get the working so just buying a new seat.
Bank loan for my car even though I could have bought it out right I didnt want to lose my savings, and whatever I buy I will buy when I have the money avalible.
_Nero_, I wouldn't say credit is a mugs game you just need to manage it well, its there so why not use it from time to time imo
Aux belts every 36k or 5 years or whatever comes first
Cambelts every 72k or 5 years or whatever comes first iirc
So get them done sooner rather than later
the carbon ones from ktec are cheaper than reno iirc.
Other splitters that fit well are 307, megeane or languna that you should be able source from a scrapyard
