The replacement G-Skill memory arrived on Friday. Put it in and it worked fine. Must have just been Sod's Law that my initial purchase had a dodgy stick.

I've normally got away with it on the better titles. Nothing worse than playing through a very good to excellent game - complete it, then an expansion comes out. I'd much rather have the full suite to begin with.

Same here. I've had the core game pretty much since the day it was released, but not played it. Just this morning, I ordered the Expansion Pass so I've nabbed both of those DLCs. Hopefully should look particularly good on the 1080 I ordered this morning too! :cool:

Kind of glad that I never got further in Witcher 3 than look out of the balcony. With the DLCs appearing to add much to the core game - I thinking setting off with an unbiased/unplayed expectation is going to be a good thing!

As Sharky says - as long as you enjoy them, that's the main thing. I personally like to get the balance between a challenge and it being fun. Slogging away at a section/enemy/puzzle that has to have the perfect combination of moves in a set time, just annoys me. That's memory muscle over fun, to me.

Hmmm. Not sure what's going on here. It still works, but is definitely more slack on the lever. Could one side at the rear have disconnected or snapped, even? Might take it in to the garage. I'm concerned that it might stay on!

I hope you're right in improving it m8. Played a bit this evening and the performance wasn't the best - even when set to Medium across the board and down to 1920. I think this game and GTAV have proven the limits of the GTX690 - the small amount of memory being the killer. Inside, it plays ok...

Phase 1 shopping list, I think? Graphics card will be Phase 2 - with the intention at the minute of a 1080. Might drop the memory to higher spec G-Skill 16GB instead?
