It's a hardware hog alright! :)
Only managed a couple of minutes this morning, but it's the first game that I've got to drop the 2560x1440 resolution back down to standard HD resolution with. It had that much of an impact on performance, that it's virtually unplayable at that scale on the...
Setting my mind on the Asus Maximus VIII Formula. Although on paper, there's little differentiating between that and the Asus Z170 Pro Gaming - I do want to go for the higher priced mobo.
I finished a reformat of my PC - the first wipe clean to Windows 10, since before Christmas.
I had two 240GB SSD drives in RAID0 and have switched to a standard 2TB SATA with this install. What a performance drop! I always knew SSDs were faster - but to see the same PC behave like its dragging...
I nearly had one of those 'f**k it' moments earlier on and drive the couple of miles over the tops to get to Scan. New CPU. New mobo. New memory.
Sanity kicked in and stopped me. Not necessarily logic however!
I think I'll be going Z170 too, paired with an i7 and hybrid cooling. Maybe...
I actually meant to say their games that use the Unreal Engine, are definitely single-GPU biased. That was my bad.
I find it silly when Rocksteady can churn out Arkham in 2009 and it happily runs on multiple GPUs on UE - yet The Division nose-dives in performance and eventually crashes in SLi...
It's definitely the weakest full-price game I've bought in the last twelve months.
A shame, because under the overriding blandness of yawnism - there are moments of true genius in it. From a technical perspective also, is Ubisoft's absolute phobia of supporting SLi. Even more so when the bulk...
If it's anything like the 182, it's a piece of piss to do.
I bought my kit from Matt at MT Audio from here - while included an aux cable and a converter box. Literally two-prong stereo adapters kebab the dashboard to eject the head-unit. The aux cable socket is unique - so you can't physically...
Definite credit to you m8 - it's really nice to see examples that are virtually factory fresh.
Your wife must be a very patient person? Or maybe she's just as committed as you in keep the Cup minty fresh?! :)
I'm normally of fan of decent bodykits. I love spoilers and even mudflaps on cars. When done tastefully, they all combine to make the car look epic. The image that comes to my mind is a well fettled, previous-gen Focus RS...... in green.
However, I can't for the life of me see the appeal in the...
I could be tempted..... ;)

Not quite sure how you'd go about servicing it though?
Bought it - though there's no way my internet connection is easily going to cope with a circa 52GB download! I'll download it via work overnight, I reckon!
Andy's running 980Ti's - though I don't know if he's running then in SLi or just a single card.
Does look bloody good. I'm hoping that it's simply a mindless blaster. The Serious Sam series was the last I recall that did that well.
See - that's where I'm going wrong. The last college work I did centred around the project management implementation of a company-wide time & attendance system. Not a hint of turbo or even Clio was mentioned...... :(
Forgive my ignorance (and it's probably been mentioned loads of times) - but...
Factor in the heat as well. If you're travelling at speed for a considerable distance - and with this time of year, your tyres will get hot.
Too much heat in a tyre already under high pressure load will likely to go pop.
Personally, I'd be ordering a new set from George (@George@RTR_Parts).
Apart from looking a bit naff, brakes (along with tyres) are one area that I don't cut corners on - especially when past their best. Yes, it's a pisser that they have done little distance compared to the cost - but I'd be...
Chaps - not sure if you're aware, but if you're used to the console, TV and sofa setup - there's a brilliant device for the PC called Steam Link
http://store.steampowered.com/app/353380/
It's a small device - less than a DVD case in size and sits between your TV and router. Use it to connect a...
Thread bump.
Worth commenting on here just for anyone else in the same boat. Mine did the same - in particular between 50-70mph saw the steering wheel rapidly wobble side-to-side. Luckily, I'd recently bought a set of Turinis over my OEM alloys and even with new tyres - the wobble was still...
I remember back in the days of the PS1 - I wandered into GAME one morning and noticed they were stocking the shelves with the reissued Final Fantasy 7 on the Classic label or something.
I picked a copy up and started to walk to the counter when a member of staff stopped me. He told me that I...
