I see, I guess you are like me and need the upgrade now. Have you considered a non 2.1 tv, like the Sony 9505? The PS5 doesn't support VRR yet, and very few games will run at 120fps. You'd probably get more benefit from decent HDR and a better display imo, you'll still be running a solid 4k60...

Sony XH90 - Has HDMI 2.1, no VRR yet, Sony seem quite reactive to fixing bugs, this is their PS5 TV so they do seem to care. s**t HDR. Samsung mid-high end QLEDS have 1 HDMI 2.1 port, best HDMI 2.1 tv for HDR, massive dimming issues in games mode, unresolved since May 2020, I'd not touch them...

A little off topic, but this was video was bounced around work at the start of the year, and it's a really interesting insight into games development back in the day (we're in the embedded automotive sector, so it's still relevant to us now).

Awesome collection @SharkyUK , it's wrong I love that 360 box the most 😂 I've had one glitch with the XSX so far, I was playing Talos Principle and it kept flashing a black frame every 30 seconds or so. I went home and then QR'd the game and all was good. Not had any issues with XSX optimised...

Yep it's pretty insane. I have Jedi installed, yet to play it. FF also got added. I'm trying to complete as much of Talos Principle as possible before it's removed on Sunday, this is one of the downsides of game pass, games can hook you and then get removed (especially third party games)...

I kinda agree, which is why I went with Richer Sounds. But Currys offer 5 years now for free on a lot of high end sets and there is some history of Currys letting people claim for screen burn which every other warranty 100% won't cover with the exception of the accidental option offered by John...

Yes, the XH90 will get HDMI 2.1 support via a firmware update, like I said they did release this last month but it was buggy so it has been revoked and will be released again soon.

I was downloading fairly quickly earlier, now it's crawling, and I'm also struggling to sign in. I guess the yanks are home from work now and hammering the new consoles.

Personally the issues with the Samsung make it not worth getting, I knew the smaller models are a lesser spec but didn't realise that included the 48"! If you can't stretch to the CX but must have HDMI 2.1 than I'd consider the Sony XH90, yes the 2.1 update last month did cause some issues but...

The Q80 is riddled with issues, especially for gaming, check out the link I posted a few pages back. The LG CX is available in 48" too....

ALLM is absolutely bloody awesome, I use my Xbox to watch Sky to not having to manually switch the TV in and our of Game mode is just fantastic!

1 month trial is what they have added, as a perk.

What are you downloading? The update took 5 mins to DL and install for me, now just updating the pad.
