Tbh you don't really need 120fps, a good HDR 4K TV will be enough to make the most out of these consoles for now.

That's not an HDMI 2.1 TV, it's only a 50Hz panel... Re updates, Samsungs and LGs have had 2.1 support for ages now, Sony have revoked their update as it was causing issues, expect it to be out in time for the PS5 though.

Well the 360 had rrod, this got extended cover though (which came in a month after I bought my 2nd xbox due to the first one rrod'ing) but my Day One One is still surviving. I don't think the one had issues did it?

Which sound bar I meant! Some people on AVF are buying third party stands for the TV so they can use their favourite sound bars without blocking the screen, but the included stand is so nice it would be a shame to spoil it with some aftermarket thing.

How are you mounting it? I'm interested to know which bar you go for if you're using the included stand.

Tested out the train crash scene in Super 8. It looked bloody stunning, considering it's plain old 1080p, in film maker mode it was incredible to watch. The sound didn't match the visuals 😂 The sound isn't bad at all, far better than my Hisense and the sound on that wasn't terrible either. But...

+1 for sound bar suggestions. The CX sits very low if you are using the stand (which I will be), so you need a low profile sound bar. I've got my eye on this one, but don't know too much about them tbh - https://www.richersounds.com/tv-home-cinema/lg-sl8y.html

This console war crap should end tbh, lets just make this thread about the XSX, not a comparison with anything else. Ultimately we all want every console to be a huge success, the competition pushes the manufacturers to make amazing consoles and charge very little for them!
