I try not to use anyting but a damp cloth on the Alacantara.
If you do get marks on it you can use a mild soloution of Autoglym Interior Shampoo and water.

Terry Towels are ok, they tend to lose there softness after a few washes. Meguiars still sell there own ones. I prefer MF's but did use terry towels a few years ago for a while.
Had always had pretty much owned French Hot Hatches, be it Peugeot's - but they lost the way come the 206, and both 138 and 180's where no where to go when it came to upgrading as I found them both poo.
I had just sold my 205 GTi and was bored of my 306 XSi and wanted a new car that went...
Yeah polish using the Poorboys or Menzerna, then use the SRP which will fill any minor defects that may be left behind and leave a perfect surface for the EGP to bond to.
Lambswool Wash Mitt is for using as a safer option to wash your car rather than a sponge.

If you already have the AG Super Resin:
I would get.
Zymol Autowash - £5
Lambswool Wash Mitt - £5
Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection -£7
Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care - £5
Autoglym Bumper Care - £5
Will be just over budget but a good starter kit.
June was being mentioned, Tim at CYC and John at CS have ones they are trying out.
The Poorboys has a quicker work time and less chance of dusting of the Menzerna - It is easier to tell when the Poorboys is worked long enough, the Menzerna takes more passes and a little more getting used to on...
If your using the EGP, well worth sticking to the SRP before hand. The Menzerna will give a nicer finish than the Poorboys, but is slightly trickier to use.
The polishing stage can take anything from 2-3 hours up to 12 plus.
I would not be spending my own cash on a normal PC well worth holding...
Washing it will be fine. Depending on what the bodyshop advices you may need to allow it to cure before waxing/sealing.
Polishing with a wax/sealant free product will be fine.
Re: Why does that paul guty that charges £5k for a detail use a sponge?

Each to there own, lots of people are using the Foam ShMITT's I am sticking to Lamswool myself.
SRP wont do much towards swirling unless it is very very mild.
All depends how mild the swirls are. In most cases normally use either Poorboys SSR 2 or Final Finish (PO106FF) and a polishing pad, steping up to Poorboys SSR 2.5, Menzerna Final Polish II (PO85U) or Menzerna Intensive Polish if...
Pad/Polish choices - Products that will work on said pads well depending on defects by PC.
Cutting Pad/Polishes
Menzerna Power Gloss (4 inch spot pads only)
Menzerna Intensive Polish
Poorboys SSR 2.5
Megs 83
Polishing Pad/Polishes
Menzerna Intensive Polish

SRP can be used on a polishing or finishing pad. You could do that every week if you really wanted to.
Cutting pads and medium/strong polishs or compounds once or twice a year.
Always start of with a polishing pad first befoire using a cutting pad unless you have too.
