Sorted a few bits on this.
Raised the front suspension, it was all really free moving and easy to do which was a surprise for a car that had been stood a while.
I also fitted a brand new TDC, why renault had to change the connector and have you f**king around with a wiring kit at the back...
Little update!
Just over a week ago my new wheel came:
Retrimmed Sabelt Wheel by mjenic, on Flickr
Still really chuffed with it. Today I fitted a ph1 stalk so I have a working horn now too. I've missed the horn over the last few days after a couple of close calls where lorries have...
Is that fitted? Where from?
I need some new rears, my original PE2's still have loads of tread but are starting to crack now :( Not done bad for 7 years and 43k miles though, really worth spending the extra on the Michelins!
Don't want to JB, so guessing the O2 one is best. £20 seems a lot sim only, I might aswell just get the new iPhone on an upgrade contract when it comes out.
I paid £60 for a cup spoiler to be repaired as a tiny bit of one edge has snapped off (I didn't hit it to make it fit, not at all :o), prepped and painted. Not worth doing it yourself imo.
I've always used the one in the OP on my clios.
Never had a problem, just remove fuel rail guard, pop it on the filter, and then put a spanner to it. It's just a little too tight to use a ratchet.
Cheers, depends if you get lucky or not, usually around £50 for a worn out one.
Cheers, as you know the standard trim is really firm, this is soft but I wouldn't say spongy. Just soft to the touch.
This is tomorrow guys!
If you get to woodall a tad late, and we aren't there, then head down to LFE services and meet us there, I say this as I want to set off prompt from woodall!
Personally I like the red, as it matches the trophy. But I do wish I had got a more neutral colour such as a dark grey, as it's quite likely I'll sell the T and keep the cup in Late August/September and it would of matched the cup better.
Cost wise, it wasn't that expensive, the old wheel and recovering and postage both ways came to about £170.
I rang my insurance as soon as I fitted it (Brentacre), told them the type of wheel and they said thanks, bye. MOT shouldn't be an issue as no lights are on, and not all cars have airbags...
I always loved my Renault Sport Sabelt wheel on my RB, but I hated how the suede got ruined so easily.
So for the trophy I decided to get an old knackered one retrimmed, spec is all leather, red top, black perforated sides and black lower with black stitching.
It looks superb in real life...
Every time I've ordered from them their dispatch time has been terrible, 3 days usually. Then the item comes next day.
I'm never in a rush so not too bothered but it is very poor imo.
i4D are so much better, but don't think they sell what the OP wants :(
