As above really, 250 miles getting 44mpg at 80-85. Lads at work didnt believe me till i showed them. highly tuned 2L getting that sort of mpg, even when hammered returning 30+ mpg has to be the best on the road

There is some sort of sensor that as the back end drops the lights compensate. But i think if you looked like the usual granada thats just come off the ferry dragging its ass along the road you might get pulled. They wont automatically swap left-right for the continent (How would they know)...

Only ever used 98 in my 172 since day 1. Get good mpg out of it, so not bothered for a few quid. Shell got a wrap on the knuckles for claiming it game cars extra oomph (Possibly because older cars didnt get anymore power), so i suppose its just the cleaning parts of the fuel that are any good...
