Company of Heroes was back on for less than £7 for the full set last weekend. Think it's gone now though. Seriously debating pre-ordering Company of Heroes 2 on Steam for £39.99 ;) Tempted. But will wait for the reviews on that, I think. D.

Very rarely m8 as I'm over in Ashton-under-Lyne now and the Evo is in stored in a garage at the minute! I do need to get her out again - before the salt starts to be spread on the roads. Even with the undersides resealed earlier this year, I'd still prefer to not take her out and add to the rust...

PMSL! With 97 achievements still to get! ;) Some if the Steam achievements are crazy on the games I've got. You've either got to be 1,000% commited to try, die and retry again - or cheat. I've just remembered with my 300+ hours on Company of Heroes, actually. Those hours are for the Steam...

Normally hit around the 270-280 hour barrier and that's my limit. The sole exception is Company of Heroes which is now past 300+ hours. Others that fall into this time bracket are BC2 and BF2142. Not even scratched the surface of BF3 in comparison. My dad's managed to crack 750+ hours on...

It weirded me out this game. I put just over 20mins into it - and like Royston says, you actually 'do' nothing. The backdrop and the narrative do give the impression that you're stuck on some remote Scottish island with literally sweet FA going on, with a Tales of The Unexpected storyline...

I liked the WW2 settings too - they need to be revisited, I think :) I've heard that the PC version of this has got horrendous control inputs. I won't even go near this until that's confirmed to be otherwise. A PC game in 2012 without custom inputs is a total disgrace. No different that buying...

Level 14 at the minute - picked the commando class and chucking everything into upgrading the Sabre turret. Just finished the Loggins mission - which I thought was pretty funny with all the references to Top Gun - including the Shirtless Guys enemies and the volleyball net! Still not done...

I've heard that both are a little bit horse. But I haven't played either, so I can't really comment. D.

The Alpha's out now guys and it's pretty impressive! Some little things like being able to repair your mech at any time with your repair drone, I can see causing issues on bigger game maps. But for an Alpha, it looks good, plays well (literally the Logitech G13 & mouse combo were born to play...

Sure did. Playing any form of FPS with the pad is just an impossibility for me. It's about as intuitive and as reactive as swapping out my 182's steering wheel with a bale of straw. D.

True. What with phones, tablets, console portables, etc. Most people will get moist over the latest Angry Birds release, rather a DLC weapons and map pack for DCS A-10c Warthog. There will always be a hard core sim group of players (hopefully!) - but the mainstream just aren't interested enough. D.

Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news Those alloys are horrible! No doubt it will look better in the flesh though. That said, I had the privilege of being passed by a black on black (with spoiler) RS200 the other day and that looked awesome. Just from the pics I've seen, it doesn't look like it...

Sure does. Fires up Steam when it needs to download the 2GB Source SDK (iirc?) and once installed - 'Black Mesa' is viewable in the Steam Library. :) D.

Mmmmm - I'm swaying towards buying this, despite my dislike of the first game!........ Gearbox was rightly criticized for a lacking PC version of Borderlands. But things have changed with Borderlands 2 — they've improved so much it's easily the version to buy, if you've got the kit to run it...

Same here. It was a bit of an impulse purchase, but I'm glad I did it. The original RRP was total crack-pipe territory - and as Dan says, a bargain now. D.
