I turn my kill switch and it fires straight up. This is usually once a year for CSF so it does work. 😂

Take the aux belt off and run it. (Not for long though) Of the noise stops it’s either a duff pulley or an alternator bearing. Does it have air con? It’s really hard to hear faults on a recording so it’s difficult to say.

Can you not fit a kill switch to save it when it’s not being used?
