my uncle has that sub and highly recomends it as its in its own custom enclosure which results in it sounding as infinity intended it 2.
i think that the stuff your looking at is from infinities 2004 range (car audio security will prob be buying infinites excess stock cheap)
i have infinity...
hi dan, as others have said make sure youve sanded the paint down to bare metal where your connecting your earth.
i had the same prob at first but my rcas were 2 blame. i ended up buying a set of £30 ones from halfrauds that had metal end covers and i found if they were touching the headunit...
lol to run an amp you need at least 1 preout ideally, the speaker outputs are known as highlevel outputs, you can use these for your amp however sound quality can be dramatically reduced.
most aftermarket headunits like halfords sell will have at least 1 preout. maybe a worth while investment...
that amp will only be 2 channel so it will only power 1 sub or 2 speakers not both. youd need a 4 channel amp or 2x1channels if u wanted new front speakers amped as well
could just be the different models
eg a clio sport sits lower as standard than a norm clio so 40mm on the sport will look the same as say 60mm on ur dynam.

ta, russ
ill take some 2mora after work although not really much to show as all the wirings now under the dash etc might have to take the dash off again to change a bulb in the radio display so if i do ill take pics of were ive routed the cable.
it was all easy enough, just time consuming more than anythin
well ive put my crossovers in the boot. cabling was fine, except ive used oem cabling into the mid in the door as i couldnt be arsed to try and get cable in the rubber cable thing that goes between the door and car. i wouldnt recomend putting the crossover in the door as you will have to run 2...
yup changed mine today and whole dash had to come out for uprated cabling from the crossover to the tweeter. if your upgrading id recomend buying infinity kappas
