The fact the ignition works suggests the key isn’t broken or out of sync. It’s just the switches inside the key card itself.

No mate. About 10 days ago I cleaned it properly and finished off with Aquaseal pro. Today I just rinsed it, snow foamed it, rinsed it and dried it. And this was what I was left with.
