I use our local trading estate. It’s empty from about 7pm and I can do as many laps as I want. Alternatively, just get a set of duplicate number plates made up from your daily driver and fit those. Won’t ping up on ANPR then… 😂👍

No, but I would personally. To be fair I would do the following; wire wheel the absolute s**t out of it, cover it in rust converter, then paint it with Raptor. Once it’s done you shouldn’t need to touch it again. Which is why I’d rather spend more time doing it rather than just painting it...

Just scotch it up with a pad and give it a quick rinse with some panel wipe. Honestly mate, it’s the easiest stuff to apply.

Satin black raptor paint. It’s strong as s**t and will withstand the salt/rain/stones no bother.

Uniroyal Rainsport is about the best budget tyre. Avon ZV7 are a good upper mid-range. Toyo Proxes TR1 are abysmal in the wet but with summer almost here would that really be a problem? They’re pretty good in the dry,
