Could be your stereo with a dodgy output. Swap the speaker wires at the headunit end. If the distortion moves from speaker to speaker, your head unit is at fault. If the distortion stays on that speaker regardless, you either have a dodgy speaker or a damaged wire.

Use whatever chemical you see fit, I use G101 and hot water out of the kettle (let it cool a bit first obvs) and it makes cleaning the footwells and the interior in general a doddle. I’ve never used it on an engine bay so couldn’t help you there I’m afraid.
