I don't recall tightening it too much, the alloy pipe was a nice fit. As long as it's tightened up I wouldn't worry about it mate.

Yes. To run the brembo calipers on 280 discs they need 5mm machined off the mounting points so for 285 discs only 2.5mm would need machining off.
