Poor Radio reception is probably the aerial base. Easy enough to swap out. But it looks incredible. And the way N/A hot hatches are going, it’s a solid buy imo.

When are the belts due? If it’s really tidy (rust wise) and got a couple of years left on the belts and nice tyres, probably £4500-5k.

Lanoguard smells like horse s**t and needs to be applied every 6 months. My mate did the underneath of his Landrover and followed the instructions to the letter And it worked really well. Bit of a ball ache doing it every 6 months though.

Unfortunately gearbox repairs are a given on most French hot hatches. (X 100 for a clio!) But once it’s done and if it’s maintained properly, it will last ages. So don’t stress too much. Me personally, id send your current gearbox to @NorthloopCup for a complete refresh and bang a new clutch...

f**k my life that was a hard day. All I’ve done is get it to a level that I can now give it a full valet tomorrow. Trying to tackle something as fucked as this in one hit would never work. I’m broked.

CC just seems a platform for massively inflated shite. Which is a shame as on the beginning, they sold some really cool and unique cars that had been meticulously maintained and cherished. Now they’ll sell any old s**t and advertise it using long words to pad it out.

Yeah I’ve never heard of it elsewhere either. The previous owner only told me - and the fact it had done 15+ track days in his ownership - after I’d paid for it. 😂 I did manage to get the service book updated correctly by Renault so that any future owners had it in writing what had been done.

My first ever 172 was 1 year old with 10,000 miles on it when the aux belt snapped, took the cambelt out and ruined the head (Apparently). It actually came in to the Renault Dealership I was working at for the warranty work. I then bought it aged 4 years old with 36k on it.
