I was same as you, got fully loaded 197Cup. They all rave about the Trophy but i found the 197Cup to be far better car as all rounder. On track standard it's a revelation;)

Just take it to a trackday & cane it to within an inch of it's life. FFS remap, thought renault had done the job over the 197, now your toying with playing with it!

Looking at pad options for the 5 as have a few events lined up. The race guys use 'carbotec' but these are £300 for full set. I can get Yellows for £120 for full set. I know the green & red fall to bits (on track) but anyone used yellows??

Let me think, £325 for 4 Rs2's or nearly £700 for 888's. No brainer, take the Hankooks & do 3 or 4 trackdays :)

Good going, i used to see 22 ish or even single figures on track.

Good read but really it's basic personal finance issues. :mad: Paying minimum payment, think there is a calc somewhere that shows something like 7 yrs to pay off a couple of hundred at miniumum payment. Like on RS etc some have had 7 or 8 new cars in the past few yrs i'd love to see there...
