Re: PH1 172 Track Car, abit special *ITB update*
We will be doing Oulton park sometime over the summer and cadwell a couple of times, not sure on Dates yet because i Graduate this year so not sure what i will be doing summer time. So we are not booking things yet. Hopefully we will get plenty...
There are a few things to consider.
It depends how much money you have and what you plan to do.
For example the PH1 has the cable throttle which is a big plus, but if you decide you want to go the ITB route youd have cable throttle which ever car you went for.
Both cars are as light as each...
Depends on which ones you go for and what elso you have in the pipeline TBH.
Yes they are worth it in a Top end ITB build but not worth it if you wanting to go the turbo/supercharged route eventually.
Also becareful which you choose because some of the more aggresive ones require a aftermarket...
That Really annoyed me when ringing round, why does it matter, surely they sould offer the best price they can with out needing too know what others are offering.
Because they "beat" the other price by so little its not worth it :@
on another note Sky were very good when i called for a price...
Not a bit of difference, just make sure you clean it every service, i had not cleaned my ITG for 2 services and it was manky. Cleaning it and putting it back in made a little difference but thats because the filter was HORRID.
There are 3 in a 1.6 in the C2, the VTR (sensodrive box) 110bhp AVOID! the GT was made or a limited time iirc, was cheaper to buy than the VTS, but the VTS is the top of the range (125bhp iirc).
I had a 1.4 C2 Furio, for a year was a really good car, Really cheap to run had the looks of the VTS...

Its simple if you read the instructions and have a decent grasp of computing.
RS tuner, may be a good thing for you to invest in.
You can use it to remap your ECU, with a very got generic map, but you can also use the box as a diagnosics machine so it will tell you the fault codes etc.
Its slow in comparison to a super car.
Buts its Just as fast as its competitors, in standard form its faster on track than most of its competitors. But its harder to tune (in terms of power) than its competitors.
It would be between the Jenveys and the AT power ones.
(OMEX is a aftermarket ECU)
There was a thread up before comparing them, there was little to choose between them, it may be worth a search. To find the exact differances in the Kits and the differance in price.
We have Jenveys!
Dont really want to get involved in this but, I gave you the heads up that Carl would be selling the wheels. (so you had first dibs because i knew you wanted some)
Carl told you he thought the tyres had about 3mm on them (Carl was not at home so did not have the wheels to hand)
Carl arranged...
