Totally agree, i just didnt want to start the, "you dont use all the power on the road" agruement again.
Happens in most threads when you say a standard RS is fast enough for the Road.
Depends why you want more power and how you plan to drive the car.
The Supercharger kit is "relatively" cheap for the power it produces, to get anywhere near it with ITBs your talking big money.
We have a ITBd track car love it.
If it was for a track car, id go the ITB route, and a LSD.
If...
Theres plenty of cars on here if you look through the project threads(the best part of the forum) for inspiration.
There are a couple like ours full focused track cars but there are plenty of " fast road" cars.
Welcome, I dont like your VXR but thats because i dont like any Corsa VXRs i just dont like the shape/proportions of that model corsa.
I think you should be able to get what you want for your budget, Buy it standard, sell the bits you take out on here to pay for your mods.
Make sure you read...
Cutting the letters is easy with a sharp Stanley blade. That liquid mask is the stuff they use when they do RC shells and they produce some really nice clever stuff with it.
Its better than Bluetack :dead:

A better way is to use this.
paint it on let it dry, cut letters out with a sharp knife
Its easy enough to do.
Not the best photo, but originally we just Zip tied the window controls ect to the door.
Once the windows went we made it neater with some door skins the handles are spaced using the proper cup racer spacers (these are expensive)
You will probably see the most increase from a custom remap, whether its worth the cash is for u to decide.
Could also do the usual breather mods to help, Exhaust, Decat, decent panel filter( induction setup)
Other than that, you will see more gain (as such) if you remove weight, or do...
We offered him the cash the first time it was up for sale, with the intention of either rebuilding it or puting our spare engine in to it. He didn't take the offer for some reason.
Well in that case...Have you been on track with it? Why does it need a supercharger?
Why you getting a 1/2 leather rear bench for it? Surely you just take the un needed weight out.
Not having a go, just i saw your advert in the for sale section "no offers" and all that and now your talking...
Well, Removing the Aircon always give a slight gain. and save weight
So Yes there is, the "proper" cup is faster
In the real world you will not notice.
Well, if i was you i would wait till you get all your uni offers back and decide whether your going to go or not first before spending your cash.
If you decide to do anything id go the rep route.
My brothers old rep, this car was perfect.
172/182s are becoming cheap and people are buying them to convert to track cars because of the low price.
197s arent "cheap" track cars yet.
You have a very limited market with your stripped 197
Not worth it imo.
Get something useful for your 18s.
Cash for you next car...
You could buy a PH 1 with the money it would cost to respay yours LY!.....you than have a track car.
