Fully agreed, as I posted above in my reply. Both my 309 and 205 GTi's had an oil temp gauge and it was another 10 or so mins before the oil temp came up after the coolant getting to running temp.

Said to be durable, so should be an ideal winter wax, most people go for the #476s Super Doublecoat Auto Wax though.

No hose pipe ban here but when I am at shows etc and can only bucket wash there car I use http://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=10061. No need to worry about rinsing shampoo off etc.

On the back bumper strip I use the Autoglym Bumper care gel. Work it well and it should sort it out.

Dashboard and plastics, Poorboys Natural Look once every 3 months, weekly wipe down with Meguiars Interior Quick Detailer. Leather on the seats, 1Z Leather Care and Zaino Z10 Leather conditioner. Wipe the Alcantara with a damp microfiber cloth. Carpets and Matts, Autoglym Interior Cleaner...

I use Autoglym Engine and Machine Cleaner or Meguiars APC as both are acid free and paint work freindly but still shift the grime. If I really need to use something more aggressive I use Autoglym Clean Wheels.

For winter time protection a couple of coats of sealant with a coat of wax on top is ideal. If you just going for one coat of wax make sure you get something durable. I tend to apply waxes and sealants by hand, as I find the pads absorb alot of product which just gets wasted when you wash them...

The Step 1 megs is more of a chemical cleaner than it is abrassive swirl remover, never removed anything other than very light marring with it here. Cleans paint up quite nicely in a Klasse AIO kind of way. There now discountinued Medallion Paint cleaner had the same kind of results as well, but...

No magic involved, just buffing. Shame the bonnet still looks like the wing as I have not got round to it yet!

Megs 3 step 1 and 2 wont do much for any swirls. You will need a decent poilsh to do any paint correction.
