Cow And Calf Ilkley Evening Meet - Sunday 20th March

We did this last year, and we had a good turnout getting members from further North, plus the classic west lot that have been missing for a few meets now. So as before.... I suggest we meet at 4:00pm at the cow and calf rocks in ilkley (LS29 8BT), this car park here...

    Next meet?

Plans for meets in my head atm: End of March - Another pub/pic meet before summer at Cow and Calf rocks, was a good meet last year that so think it would be good to do again, might get some of the more north yorkshire people out too :) End of April/Start of May - I reckon we should do a run on...

    Lens Advice....

I've just now made an offer on a new lens (while looking to see whats available for you lol) so my kit lens, 18-55mm IS, may soon be for sale. Its mint and probably worth around £70 looking at past one's for sale :)

    Lens Advice....

Within budget? http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-Canon-EF-S-17-85mm-f4-5-6-IS-USM-Lens/p1002750?cm_mmc=GoogleBase-_-Camera-Lenses-_-Canon-Fit-_-Canon-EF-S-17-85mm-f4-5-6-IS-USM-Lens_1002750 And if your after a 70-300mm I have one in the for sale section :) Edit: £90, and local enough to...

    Lens Advice....

I'd look at the 17-85 for a decent best of both worlds lens if your on a budget, 24-70 is restrictive on the wide side on a crop :(

    Lens Advice....

Do you already have the standard 18-55mm kit lens? I presume you dont. Whats your budget? I'd get something a bit more versatile than the 10-20 if its your only lens.

What is THE best single game you've ever bought and why?

PGR4 for the funness and how it made you want to carry on playing it all the time. GTA 3, best GTA imo, really different to anything I had played before.

    Insurance companies are theiving *******'s

Its funny, but a couple of years ago the people on the phone used to be hesitant at anything that sort of price, and advised going elsewhere and how they weren't competitive. Now though they say it with confidence and pride, like its a good deal :S

    is my car remaped?

local garage to change my cambelt

Yorkshire specialists charge a fair bit more than a lot of the rest for some reason, guess they have a bit of a monopoly being nowhere else to go up north. Might be worth also getting a quote from birchdown, wont be that much petrol (around £40 from malton and back i reckon) and its a nice day...

Clio 20th anniversary £22k, insurance £1.3k what to do?

Is this the gordini? If it is i'd save the £3k and get a standard one, much better looking and not really missing anything you need.

Urgent Help re Alternator required:-Am stuck in Huddersfield and live in High Wycombe

Re: Urgent Help re Alternator required:-Am stuck in Huddersfield and live in High Wyc Because you wouldn't get your money if he died lol. A little local garage in halifax called pearsons, get bits done there when i need and he's well priced and knows his onions. He gets really busy though...

What influenced/helped you pick the colour of your car?

The biggest influence for me was the price, next one was it wasn't the other side of the country. I couldnt care what colour it is, there isnt a bad one imo

Yozza quality, they do a stealth too.

harnesess getting around the seatbelt light?

If your removing the seats the beep/light wont happen anymore since the wiring is disconnected. If your using harnesses with std seats, which you shouldn't be doing, just open the seatbelt buckle socket thing, see the 2 copper connecters on one side that get broken when the belt is in, bend...

The "Ive taken a pic and I kinda like it" thread

Not a clue what type it is, its around 20 years old though. I work for a water company, this is just an eco sideline they have and I was on a placement to work with an electrician that maintains these, I wouldn't normally touch them. There all on land this is near Skipton in Yorkshire. One of...
