I wouldnt have them on a road car put it that way, rear one maybe, but our side ones are only 3mm thick. and very odd to drive with on the road due to the shutter.

Yeh passanger ride shud be know problem, we gave a few rides to ppl this afternoon, we even had some of the ford boys come ask for a ride cos it was a fast car :)
Insurance is such a con tbh, i still am amazed that something we need by law is run by private money making companies that can basically charge as much as they like :(
Sure hes putting the correct pressures in them? because if he putting to much in them when they are getting warm on longer drives they will want to explode.
No its a 1.2, you could spend money on things like a remap but you will gain nothing for for 200-300Quid.
Or you cud go on a driver training course to help make your starts and gear changes better, it may give you a slight edge, but the only way to make it slightly faster is to strip it out...
