I would not bother with it on a lightweight or short focal length lenses. Works well on my 300mm prime though.
All depends what you want to shot as well.
Drying - A decent Waffle Weave drying Towel, I use the Micropak ones from Clean and Shiny.
Apply and Remove OCW with Plush Microfibers, I use Micropk Ultra Plushes from Clean and Shiny.
Apply AG SRP and EGP with Yellow Foam hand pads, remove with a microfiber towel.

Also works well as a stand alone sealnet. Applied it to my 306 Back in July - the car has not been washed or anything since and it is still beading this morning in the rain.
I would go for the OCW as well rather than the NXT one.

You will be fine Chris, I had not used an SLR for 5 years and never tried to shoot pictures of moving cars until last Feb.
1/320 for them just like most shots from the day, seems perfectly suited to the 300mm prime. I tried on Sat to get further round then just Camp or Quarry.
Yeap - though I decided to get the proper Megs spray bottle for it, think it is 4-1 strong or 10-1 weak. The dilution ratios are on the Label. I use it under the wheel arches and on the tyres as well as the wheels.
