This afternoon I've mostly been getting on with sorting out the rear. Put the carpet down to make it a little nicer inside, removed the rear seat belts and fitted the cage. The cage was a nightmare to fit since it didn't align up properly, but once all the bits are attached it pulls itself...

I wander why they dont put the ECU in the car behind the dash somewhere rather than out in the elements :S

I switched my policy over to my clio when I got it with bell (admiral's sister company) and it worked out at £3000 a year lol. I only had to pay the extra for the last month though so bit the bullet and insured it. Then chris knott did me at 19 with 1ncb for £1300, now 20 with 2ncb paying £1000...

I'm with adrian flux, they are s**t, had a bad experience with them before, but they were cheapest by quite a lot so went with them again.

Never been to BTCC, would probably enjoy it since when I catch it on tv it's pretty good!

Yep, no xenons from renault at least, can be added aftermarket though. Apparently they went option only with the 197 and not many went for it so they got dropped. Shame because despite what some people think the xenons are a really good feature imo

+1 no offence but them alloys look crap, save up and buy some normal 172 alloys. Look good and are cheap! (probably can be had for a similar price to some refurbs!)

Not normal. I just had this problem and it turned out to be the alternator which was pulling the power. Wierd that both the car and engine +ive leads are pulling the same current, this suggests 2 problems rather than one. Try using a multimetre in series on the -ive side of the battery and try...

Not really got any decent pics but you can see this here. Custom subframe into standard mounting holes. Sidemounts attached to subframe in desired position (takes a lot of faffing about to get it how you want it though). Seats put in and attached to sidemounts. Simples.

Hi! My passenger seat is higher than my drivers, purely because I fitted that one first and forgot to remove the spacers :o

Not all the fanatecs are 360 compatible so be carefull! I have had 2 360 wheels now, they are really good for the price, i'm sure you wont be dissapointed.

I was using a 550D with a peasant kit lens, he was using some cheapo camera brand, nokin or something like that :p

Porsche one is supposed to be the best but is quite expensive. The official one is really good for the money imo.
