How much to get a spoiler painted and fitted? Nothing fancy - just a plain PI roof spoiler onto the bootlid of my valver.... Best guesses??

my 90k 1.4 used to do it but my 135k valver doesnt... :confused:

If you did your homework, you could get a 2ltr conversion for less than 1k. That give a healthy increase in power and the power would be far more usable....

^Hmmm...well, i suppose it probably would look a bit too "max power".... :D Worth noting folks....someone could buy the parts i dont need, source their own aftermarket bumper and still be cheaper than buy a full kit themselves!

For those interested id reckon (very, very rough estimate atm) the rear bumper is about 25% of the total cost, side skirts are about 25% and the other stuff (front bumper related) is about 50%. This means: Side Skirts @ 175 from me instead of from K-tec at 260 Rear Bumper @ 175 from me...

Should be able to get all that done for 2k. The only concern id have would be taking all that cash off my folks - i know if it was me, my mum/dad would always be bringing it up whenever i did anything else!

Youll find that the longer pipe (2) connects to another pipe at the other end of the fuel rail - this is the return to tank pipe. Directly opposite youll see a small pipe coming off the end of the fuel rail that has been blocked up - just reconnect this to original section of the RTT pipe that...

I never had my PBV setup and it affected the idling of my car substantially - it cut out etc but since i took it off it has been fine. I reckon if you get the PBV setup right then fine, keep it on but otherwise its a bit pointless as its unlikely your fuelling will be anywhere near correct...

Out of interest, what does everyone pay for insurance (assuming youve told them about the mods!)? Particularly interested in the 16v turbo insurance cost... :D

gunner: being realistic i reckon id be about the 150/155 mark as the head isnt flowed (it should be with that chip though) and the zorst is standard apart from the de-cat. If i had this done itd be a tad over the 160 i think. Did have a moment of madness yesterday tbh - guy at work has just...

The mk2s use 16s and have near similar performance so you should be fine as long as you use whatever profile they do.

gunner: recon came to about 2k by the time it was all refitted, run in and rechecked etc. All, general concensus seems to be that i aint gonna get above 2k - if i had been able to then i would have considered selling but for the 1-1.5k id get i suppose id never be able to replace the same...

Right, ive got a picture a williams/16v maxi rally car and as well as the OE vent it appears to have a second "l-shaped" vent at the passengers side front of the bonnet. Obviously its gonna be hard to get one of these but is there anything that looks similar that could be salvaged from another...
