As had been discussed it is the soft/hardness of the paint which contributes as much as the thickness.
Renault paint is an old one, it scratches easily, but when it comes to paint correction the paint is hard.
Just messing with you kid, I was not going mad like the 205 GTi boys thats for sure. Couple of people found gravel traps one found the barrier with the rear quarter and front wing just before I went up. Is very narrow and quite technical through the middle to top section.
Think my 205 1.9 GTi and 309 GTi's both gave the same smiles per miles, handled on par or maybe better in the 309's case but both lacked power of the 182, and the 205 also lacked the luxery of the 182.
In an ideal world all 3 would still be on my drive.

I know what you mean - I could never chuck my 306 Xsi 16v (same struts/rear beam set up as the Rallye/GTi afaik) around like I could my past Peugeot GTi's or 182.
