My kit lens zoom ring makes a grinding noise and it is full of dust. Real peice of shite hence the 28-105.
Yeah the EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM, rated as one of the best consumers zooms Canon do, has a metal body and feels worlds apart from the plastic tacky kit one. Shame it losses out on the...
I use Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner or AG Engine and Machine cleaner to clean tyres. Removes any browning etc and leaves them ready for a dressing.
AG Rubber Plus (Trade range product) cleans and dresses in one go.
Polishing is fine, waxing and sealing is normally the thing they tell you not to do while the paint cures. Most say only use a pure bodyshop safe polish for 30-60 days.
But if your painter says its fine go with that he knows what paints he has used and how long it was in the oven for etc. I...
If you buy the Megauirs one it comes with Quick Detailer to use.
I just use car shampoo mixed with water to clay, if going down that route get the stuff Alex sells here.

Just the clay bar on its own so works out cheap.
With which combo -
SRP, EGP x2 and Poorboys Nattys Wax?
Deep and wet, with a decent bit of flake pop.
For a clearer look and more flake pop you need to swap to a clearer looking sealant than the EGP, such as poorboys EX-p which mutes nothing.
Wash
Dry
Clay
Scratch X in areas if needed.
Super Resin Polish - panel at a time nice and thin, and remove.
Autoglym Extra Gloss - Apply to the whole car as thin as possible, allow to cure 30-60 mins then remove. Multiple coats with give a deeper look and better protection.
To last SRP, EGP and Megs 16.
For looks, AG SRP, Poorboys EX-p and either P21s, Pinnacle Signature or Poorboys Nattys.
Using what you have:
SRP, EGP x2 and Poorboys Nattys Wax
All the above will give clear looks than 26 which tend to darken paint. The above will help the flake pop.
Best option for protection is a good sealant.
Of the shelf you cant go wrong with Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection, 60-120 days protection is possible.
For the ultimate protection worth looking into the Zaino Sytem

If the paint is in good shape, with no swirl marks or defects to sort out.
Grab Some Autoglym Super Resin and Some of there Extra Gloss Protection aswell.
If you have any marks that need deeper polishing grab some Meguiars Scratch X.
I apply it with a Meguiars yellow foam hand pads, and...
Clay will sort that, as on the other thread lol, Paint cleaner will chemically clean ingrained grime off your paint rather than bonded contaminents which will take clay to shift.
Halfords sell the Megs Kit.
Replied in the General Chat post, claying will remove anything stuck to your paint the washing alone wont.
What do you mean when you say bumpy?
