Got my f1's powdercoated. Cost £60 for 4 wheels, and the finish is really good tbh, not worth messing about yourself at that price :)

I find them fine around town, definitley more bite than OEM. However, I find my first press or so of the pedal results in little braking effect until they have at least some heat in them. Nearly crashed because of that before.

The point is its not illegal, some cars will pass an emissions test without a cat. Like above, if you got pulled and it failed on emissions, you would have to rectify the problem within x amount of time. Its only if you got pulled again after this time and failed that you may get shafted...
