Screen tech are superb. I've worked at 4 different garages, and have used nobody else. They do ALL of our work. (I work for BMW) Tinting, security films, scratch repairs, chip repairs. I cannot recommend them enough. (Screen tech in fishponds, just to clarify!)

People spray too harsh a chemical on it, and it reacts. Badly. I've had loads of them with 'sticky dash' syndrome. It's minging. I found IPA (50/50 with water) was good at improving it but I've yet to find a way of completely curing it.

With the current lead times, they'll be on to a new model by the time the current one turns up!

The 3 is a four door saloon mate and the 4 is either a coupe or convertible.

With regards to the headlights, my mates dad just bought some updated units for his 1970's scimitar. Not expensive and are a 100 times better than the old dates ones. Good to see it back though, it's a credit to you.

10 miles to work, 10 miles home. 3 of those (each way) are stop start/crawling along. The rest is 40-50 mph motorway traffic.

When I had my recovery truck I was doing 1000 miles a week. At 22mpg... My shell loyalty card was healthy! Lol

Yep. Cheap ones do crop up! Mine was a 54 reg moonstone, done 99k with proper history and the bloke wanted £1000! I ended up giving him £800 for it. He'd not long spent £600 on dpf removal and remap! Lol.

Suspension, seats, wheels... Basically a gti with a Diesel engine. With the DPF removed and mapped, they are really reliable too and go like stink! My last one had 135bhp! Lol

Yeah that's my job tonight. I'll fill it up and see what's going on. A bit disappointed with the total mileage though. 400 miles on a full tank is do-able in a 172 if you drive like a nun.

@GrahamS Help me bro! I've just done the first tank of fuel in. 499 miles?? I was hoping for 500+. The last 2 bars on the fuel gauge have disappeared and the computer reads zero, within the last 30 miles. Is this normal?? I used to drive my 182 for miles and miles on the fuel light let alone...

Mate my life is horrific. Honestly, you couldn't make this s**t up. This week, definitely.

The engine needs to be able to move a bit, otherwise things will break (more than normal) But if there's banging going on, it's normally down to worn out mounts. Replace all three and you'll not have to worry again for a long time.

What is line prone? Has it been recently launched?

More than likely a top mount seized/not seated properly. It causes the spring to twist, and then 'dong'.

Just go to your local specialist or Renault dealer and get the programmed out properly. It's half hours work on a computer so no faffing around.

Leave the wheels silver and spend the money on spacers instead. Will look the tits!
