Cheers guys. Appreciated.
Struggling to get the locking nuts off at the moment. Lost the key. Using a snap-on impact gun and the reverse thread halfords sockets. I know these have a collar on so what's the best method to get the collars off/locking nuts off?
On my mk2 I had it down the passenger side a-pillar and through glove box but on my 197 I have it down drivers side a-pillar, under steering block and then in to back of HU.
Saying that, mine wasn't about the reading light, mine is just at the top of the a-pillar.
Basically, not really clued up in any of this at-all (but you don't learn unless you try), how hard a job is it to change discs/pads/rear hub nuts all round on a Clio 197?
What tools will be needed?
Cheers
What?
We need more details than that mate.
When were the other 2 197's belts done? What colours are they all? Do any have climate control? Do any have the recaros? etcetc.
What are their service historys like?
Have you checked the gearboxes?
Stick all 3 links up here.
Your first point of call would be to take it to the shop that did it, ask them to check it over and make sure it's all connected up or ask a friend who is comfortable taking it to bits and checking for you. If it's f*cked then I'd just replace the hard drive, they're very easy to install so I'd...
1) No boot device would mean hard drive isn't being read/failed. Operating system is stored on hard drive and is default boot.
2) I'd be surprised if it was them especially after the pint of squash went over it - they could have not clicked the master wires in correctly but that would be one...
Do it how you like mate. I've tinted my rear 3. If you've got tints and haven't got turinis then you aren't welcome on here, well you'll get that vibe. Stick to how you wanna do it.
Looks tidy mate. I'd remove the TC&C sticker on the back! Would like nice with black wheels! Also, if you maximise the photo of the front of the car, you can see your missus in the back! That gets you extra ClioSport points!
In my experience of Acer's I've owned in the past, they're rubbish.
As mentioned above, remove anti virus. Download/crack/buy MalwareBytes.
In terms of it slowing down when plugged in, I've never heard of this but look in your power saving settings etc.

It's got to be some extreme coincidence that as soon as my nob 'ed brother edited my htaccess the whole things gone caput, including the hosts website.
At least now I'm getting timed out errors and not an unresponsive server. Hmm.
