just undo the 2 locker shocks bolts with the car on the floor and then jack it up, easy peasy, leave the wheels on

you MUST file the edges down AND remove the shims, (hot metal expands remember)

it took me 20min first time ever (f**k me that was nearly 8 years ago!), its 2 bolts and a jack

are the pads free to move in the carriers? ie did you grind downthe egdes of the backing plate and remove the shims?

exhaust blows on 182's seriously dent the performance, i had a car in and on the test run where a healthy car will hit 90 no bother this one struggled to hit 80 (customer first time, then i drove to double check)

i'm convinced its the selector thats the problem combined with crap oil and rushed changes, i've seen that selector heavily worn and or snapped, we got through 2 boxes (second box had 4 rebuilds, would last approx 2000miles) always 3rd went first, our gearbox man fitted an uprated (thicker)...
