£60 fine. Dont think any cameras can pick it up, you'll have to be pulled. There has been a few cases of repeat offenders getting points, after the 3rd time they got caught apparently. Not worth it imo, when it was £30 then maybe but not anymore.

Sounds like an earth yeh. I always recommend just connecting the battery -ive to the body with a jump lead and try it then just to check the main earth straps. this happened on my old clio

Mine does this sometimes, it was the heat shield thing by the fuel tank on mine. Was loose.

I think it wires directly to the HU, so there should be the same number of wires at either end. Test for continuity and see if you can find a pair that dont match up, if you do there is your break otherwise it isn't your wiring. How do you know its not the remote?

Wrap the end which inserts in with black electrical tape, then wedge it in, if its loose add more tape :D

Get those matched inlets that are in the classifieds for £100 and a panel filter too before the remap :D Might aswell while your at it, but i think paul will tweak maps cheaply once you have had it done anyway.
