I was on my mums policy for my first 1.5 years (cost about 500 a year i think). Then one day I decided enough was enough and took out my own insurance.
Then 9 months later swapped to the clio which without 1 years ncb i wouldnt have been able to renew for a sensible price to be honest. Renewed...

Is there a risk in driving it day to day? (obviously you cant say for definite, but as a PAS fault)
Need one of you specialists nearby, not got anyone near...

It only does it either on start up like in the vid, or when steering at slow speed/stationary so must be an aux/PAS pump problem.
Could it be the aux belt we fitted was tensioned wrong? Since fitting it I have had some light screeching on full lock (I have heard a few clio's on meets that...
Someone told me it could be the aux belt and to get a new kit fitted? I am tending to agree...

Tapatalk will eventually sort it out though, i hope...
One trackday wont ruin the tyres mate, just have a go with what you have now and decided what to do then. Just do a half day or evening if you are really worried about wear :)
All these threads are making me worry about my renewal. Might take it off the road for a month at renewal, til i turn 21.
Really wanted to break the £1K barrier aswell :(
