That is the thing though, the clientele that are buying an RS3 - how many are taking them on track? Very few i'd imagine! Most that drive them will think understeer is a bull thats crouching down.
Why is it pointless? Because it is a practical premium hot hatch? Perfect for families and people who want a bit more from the 3 door?
It's a perfect compromise of space/performance/practicality, there is exactly nothing 'pointless' about it.
Fred used to be an instructor in Ferrari's and Astons and he said that they filled them all with 95, he said it made no odds IIRC.
Good enough for me.
Actually, people do. Or atleast i do. I don't mean this post to come across as dick waving in any sense of the term but, i have literally zero debt and a good income or incomes as the case me be as the Mrs is on maternity leave at the moment.
I own my car outright, it feels good knowing i owe...

Bearing in mind my wheels need a re-furb! I was well impressed! :D
Suprised you rate the RS3 so highly Ali... I fcuking properly adore them aswell. My sister's boyfriend has an immaculate ibis white RS3 and i love it.
I'd love a sepang blue one, it would probably be the car i'd buy if i came into money first tbh. Does everything well!
I've driven thousands of miles on each fuel, there is no difference to performance/reliability/RR figures. I appreciate what you're saying but IME there is no advantage to using 98 over 95 in the F4R.
Good point, having rolling roaded all my Clio's i've found figures consistent, again, i've no idea if thats an indication of whether that's good, bad or indifferent?
More than likely mate - the bulk of them are run on 95 without issue i would say though?
