Drums to discs

  Clio 1.2 Dynamique
So I'm looking to convert my 1.2 into a 2litre(possibly turbo'd) after the summer as the car is not going to be used much due to university.

I thought I'd start by doing a rear beam + disc conversion, as well as uprating the front brakes.

After reading through several posts and threads on here and various other sites I have a rough idea on converting the rear, but still have a few questions.

as far as I can tell, I need a 172 rear beam, with the discs from a mk1 sport abs clio? (Same number of abs teeth?)

howver, what I am unsure of is what calipers I use? I'm assuming the 172 calipers? And also what abs sensors? I saw written somewhere that the abs pump has to be upgraded as well? And possibly the brake lines?

in addition to this, if anyone has any information on upgrading the front discs + calipers to match the sport model, that would be great.

Thanks, Gary.

Why not save the hassle and just buy a 172? They are cheap as chips to buy these days...

As my man says there - you're putting fires out with petrol. Just buy a 172 and save yourself a whole world of pain!

As said above. If considering conversions you should have considered declaring it. So insurance isn't an issue.
You may as well sell yours and put the extra pennies and buy a 172/182. Save the hassle.

It's never going to be the same as a 172/182 either in my opinion.

Have you looked into rear discs from a 1.6? They had rear disc set up from 04 onwards iirc, and may sort out a few issues with abs and the rear beam.
