yeah exactly the reason, with straight or slightly curved grooves the braking material it expelled away from the disc, with the "ATE" style i could see problems with material build up, but i've never used them so can't fairly comment all RS discs are 280mm

you're free to go nuts when you leave the forecourt, i know a V6 255 (no names mentioned) that was "run in" at bedford autodrome!

doubt it but they do bend and crack easier than the 2118

also the manufactures "bed in" should IMO also include items people never think about bedding in when buying a new car, brakes and tyres
