Ok, think I'll go with the DS2500's and keep the standard disks. Decat seems pretty straight forward.
Q about the chip - Why is the ECU so cheap from this Dutch lot and, for example, the BBT chip is soooo expensive? Is there any real difference, bar the marketing talk?
Cheers,
Paul
Hi guys,
Can someone give me some direct links to buy an RSport ECU and decat for my 172 Cup? Is the site in Holland the only place you can order the ECU from?
Also, I want to put the decat on without putting a blarty exhaust on, so would prefer to keep the standard exhaust on, is this...
There are three kind of people in this world, pussies, dicks and assholes.
Pussies don't like dicks, because pussies get fucked by dicks. But dicks also f**k assholes: assholes that just want to s**t on everything. Pussies may think they can deal with assholes their way. But the only thing...
Sell it and buy the new runout(discontinuing the Monaro completely) supercharged Monaro that is coming out over there, I bet you'd soon forget about your Clio.
You can use Optimax if you want in your 1.4, but there will be no performance difference. Tescos have admitted their advertised 99 RON petrol is infact only 98 - see SN.
If you have a 1.4 there is absolutely no point in using it all. The only cars to get any benifits from it are Japanese cars that are mapped for 100+ RON fuel.
Around the ring the V6 would lap quicker Id say. The 5th and 6th gear straights will see it take an advantage, its also not too shabby round thr corners either remember. Around a tighter track Id put my money on a Trophy.
Vicky - Ive found the clutch biting point on all the 172s Ive had and driven to be fairly high. With a bit of practice you shouldnt really need a lot of revs to take off. Some import cars didnt come with manuals for some reason, dont know why.
Nice car btw..;)
OFF TOPIC - Do Renault include the number 13 in their numbering systems....13, 113, 213 etc etc? Subaru and other Japanese manufacturers miss them out for superstitious reasons.
