Wasn't there a thread(s) regarding the fact that changing the CAF alone won't give you any benefits - in fact it could decrease your mpgs as the ECU tries to match the extra air with extra fuel input?
I thought these things only gave benefits if you went down the route of full remaps, etc...
I'd rather have the Blackburn postcode of where I work, than be tagged with the Bolton postcode of where I live!
To the OP - are you sure those aren't quotes for a V6 and the insurance people are just being stupid? Even if that premium was for a V6 - that's still sky high.
When you smacked...
Ah, that's nothing. I did the 256mile trip each way to RenTech for my 24k service. ;)
50 miles is nothing for peace of mind. I'll be doing 61mile each way to Birchdown this Thursday for my 182's 48k service...

Just in terms of what's good - what needs to be a feature on the camera - what's crap, etc?
Not interested in the HDD cameras or DVD. And tape most definitely has had its day - lol.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Anyone actually got one/used one?
Cheers,

To be fair, I remember way back in the early days of plasma TVs in the late 90s. We had various corporates wanting to buy extended warranties for their £6k+ boardroom telly's.
Not one manufacturer back then would offer it - regardless. You got your stock 12 months cover and that was it. They...

Surprise - they are using AMD instead of Intel.
No surprise - that they are using Linux instead of MS stuff.

You don't really need the hairdrier to remove the badge. Best bet is just a length of dental floss - works a treat.
And as others, the new RS badging already has adhesive on the back.
If you're matching the new RS badge up to the Clio badge on the other side of the boot - you need to lower...
Silver 172 parked outside BT Showcase (next door to Harley Davidson) in Stockport.
Blue '51 172 next to the petrol station at Tesco's, Rochdale.
'52 plate 172 Cup at the lights, at the junction - top of Queens Park Road, Heywood. No stickers on any of them. ;)

Surely you wouldn't be that evil?
Jade Goody - clinical proof that every man on the planet would turn gay, should she be the only woman left.
Either that, or I'd lop off my own todger and eat it before it got anywhere near that.

Oh, so true. :dapprove:
The potential was there and instead, they muted the poor bloody 2.0 to having the spine-tingling audio clarity of an asthmatic koala bear, blowing out a raging bush fire...... through a straw.

^^^ - The Quote of this Thread.
At 33, I can still get ring-stung off the insurers. Postcode plays a massive part in your premium too.
Hang in there though - it does get better. This year is the first year where I've had Evo quotes for sub-£1k. Which although I would despise in paying, is...
Could have been worse - the old dear could have got really confused and mentioned something along the lines of "VTEC" and "YO!". Wrong type of car, nan... ;)

Looking forward to the end results - looks like you're really commited! :)
Just a question on the rear arches (I know nowt about the R5's btw). Are they normally that 'high' up before the rear arch skirt goes on?

Not sure m8 - but christ did it sound feckin awesome! Proper "BRRRRAAAARRRPPP!" noise.
^^^ - just looking at them now. Look superb so far - especially the 6R4 ones. Like the very first one in particular - just blating off in the distance. You can almost imagine the sound it made...
Re: Chatsworth - The Rally Show 2008 (loads of pics)
You must have missed my earlier thread, m8!

Cheers Jay - I will be taking to a specialist rather than Reno. It's already been to RenTech and RS Tuning. I may even try somewhere else - just to build up that log book with various stamps - lol.
So nothing major then? It would be great if they knew how to fully resolve the creaky clutch...
My 182 is getting close to the 48k mark now and I'm getting ready to book her in for the next service.
Is there anything specific I should consider at this moment in time? Obviously the 60k one will be cambelt time, but anything extra needed for the 48k?
Cheers guys...
