Even if the pumps are knackered, they still spin. You need to remove them, put them straight to 12v and put them in a cup of water or something to test them properly.
And did it fire out water at the correct pressure? Or just a dribble still?
If it was correct, its new stalk time, if it was still a dribble, i'd go with new pumps.
I have the exact same problem with my ph1! I've changed the pumps and the stalk but still, 10 times out of 100, using the windscreen washer will also trigger the rear washer too.
It's a bit annoying but I can't be bothered to waste my life doing any more work on the issue.
As a general rule;
High mileage cars tend to be owned by people who know what they're doing and have been maintained properly.
Low mileage cars tend to be bought and run by people that think 'it's done low mileage, it doesn't need servicing'
Always always always buy on condition rather...
My vibe active sub is really good, but even at only 10 inch, it takes up a fair amount of room and is bloody heavy.
Before that, I had a tiny 100w amp screwed to the back of a small box with a 10inch pioneer sub and it was perfect!
Another option could be some 6x9's on a stealth shelf...
Tell your girlfriends dad to keep his Ill informed opinions to himself as he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.
I personally don't bother with cat c/cat d cars as I always want to be able to sell them quickly. But bought correctly (as you have, tidy and just £600) you'll never lose...
Do you think the car needs more camber on track? Or do you like the way it handles?
No point in setting it up just for Internet cool points if it drives like a dogs dick.
I'm trying to persuade Sam to leave the tent and merc at home and take my Vivaro instead! f**k your tents. Solid, warm, safe, and no packing away at the end which is the worst part!
As above, I detest towing eyes and yours is no exception I'm afraid mate!
Love the car though. I've only ever had a 1.8 Es and a 2.2ctdi exec but I loved both of those. Great cabin, great seating position, very good cars IMO.
Yes mate. I was a bit naughty and used it for a 70 mile trip this morning (no tax or mot! Lol) and I quickly fell in love with it again.
And it's my old one, not robs. I had it first so there.
You say 'protected them' but with what? Anything with a hint of silicone in it will, as JD says, attract dust.
I personally just clean the dash using a damp cloth and leave it at that. I've yet to find a dressing that doesn't either give a glare in the sun or attract dust. Both of which...
You won't be able to dye 182 carpets, not without them looking crap anyway.
Black dye is meant for re-dying black carpets. I know this because this is what I do. Dying blue/grey carpet with black dye will leave patches unless you're very very lucky.
Your best bet if the carpets are minging...
If I had standard parts, I'd put it back to standard then sell it. Williams wheels, coilovers, exhaust, decat, spoiler, splitter.... All worth money on their own but absolutely fcuk all when bolted to a car!
What should I put my ph1 up for sale for? It's been sat for a month unused so tbh if rather get rid of it.
Silver Ph1 172 with ph2 dash and interior, coilovers, cup spoiler etc etc, new tax and MOT, 110k loads of history belts not due for over well over a year.
